Using People As Pixels

What it is?

Franco-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond makes animation movies on special locations. His new project is a movie from an eleven-story high school building. Together with 110 students, staff members, friends and his camera he makes an animation where the windows and people look like pixels. By opening and closing the windows he made a ‘human and architectural performance’. This isn’t his first project, but it’s the most dynamic.

Why it’s cool?

It is a new way of making animation movies, he uses the trend digitalisation, and turns people into pixels. You have to look and think out of the box if you want to create a movie with a building. At first you think it’s an easy project but working together with so many people is difficult, if someone makes a mistake you can start again. It’s cool that he uses the students and staff to make this movie, now it’s also their project en they have a good experience with the school their going to.
